I am a 51 year old male that has a strong predisposition to heart attacks (my brother had one at 40) and stroke (my father had multiple strokes before he was 50). Interestingly enough, I was taking ProFibe for almost a year and my cholesterol level, specifically my LDL level, was normal (below 100). I went without taking the product for almost 6 months without any dietary change or change in exercise habits. I was just in to the doctor last month for a yearly physical and my LDL level was 146. OUCH! I'm back on the ProFibe and hoping that it will once again come to my rescue and prevent me from having to take prescription statins, which I know can have very harmful side effects over time, causing liver and muscle disorders.
